Hello!
My name is Rain, and I was born and live in Tartu, Estonia. My journey into the world of photography began around the age of ten when I found my father’s old camera in the closet and became curious about what could be done with it. That moment changed my life and opened the door to a whole new world. Although cameras have accompanied me in one way or another for decades, I only started working on what you see on this page in 2019. Today, photography is more than just a job for me – it is a passion that has been with me for years. Every time I look through the camera lens, I feel the world stop and everything else disappear. It is my way of capturing the most beautiful and intimate moments of life.
I am a freelance photographer honored to have been awarded the title of The Portrait Masters Associate since 2023. My work has been recognized in international competitions, giving me the opportunity to share my creations with a wider audience. My style is timeless and classic, drawing inspiration from legendary photographers such as Helmut Newton and Peter Lindbergh. The work of these masters has deeply influenced me and helped me shape my unique approach to photography. Through their work, I have learned how to capture the true essence and beauty of people.
I enjoy interacting with people and getting to know them from every angle. I believe that every person is unique and deserves to have their story captured in the most beautiful way. My goal is to create photos that reflect the true essence and emotions of people.
I proudly call myself a Pentaxist, as I spend a good amount of time shooting with Pentax cameras, which have been my loyal companions over the years. These cameras are like old friends – reliable, durable, and always ready to capture the most important moments of life. If any of my cameras were a person, they would definitely be that friend who always shows up at the right time and brings the best memories.
