As a master storyteller and renowned photographer, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to my world of visual artistry. My name is Rain Nahkur, and I am passionate about capturing the beauty and essence of a human through my lens.
I was born in 1983 and took my first photographs in my early teens in the 90s with a point-and-shoot type camera. Since 2002 I have been a Pentax aficionado and I am shooting mostly with different Pentax cameras today too. I fell in love with photographing people in a studio in 2018 and it is my greatest passion today. Over the years I have had a couple of exhibitions and my photographs have won different international awards. Since April 2023 I am proudly one of The Portrait Masters Associate photographers.
With years of experience in the industry, I’d like to hone my craft to perfection, constantly pushing the boundaries of creativity and seeking the perfect light. My signature style is a fusion of classic elegance and contemporary flair, resulting in breathtaking images that evoke emotion and leave a lasting impression.
I approach each project with an unwavering commitment to excellence. As a photographer, my aim has always been to capture the essence of beauty and emotion in every shot. From the soft, delicate curves of a bride in the gown to the raw, unbridled passion of a musician on a stage, I strive to create images that are not only visually stunning but also deeply meaningful.
For me, photography is not just a profession, it’s a way of life. It’s a way of seeing the world in all its complexity and beauty, and of capturing moments that are both fleeting and eternal. And over the years of my journey, I’ve been fortunate enough to work with some of the most incredible people, from models, celebrities and artists to everyday people.
One of the keys to my success as a photographer is my ability to connect with my subjects on a deep, personal level. I believe that the best images are created when the photographer and the subject are in sync when they share a common vision and mutual respect. That’s why I always take the time to get to know my clients before I even pick up my camera.
But perhaps what I’m most proud of is my ability to bring out the best in people. Whether it’s a shy young woman or a nervous performer, I have a gift for making people feel comfortable and confident in front of the lens. And when people feel relaxed and at ease, that’s when the magic happens.
